Salisbury Hospital, Radnor Ward
12th April, 2014The refurbishment of Radnor Ward consisted of the modernisation of the intensive care unit at Salisbury District Hospital.
Radnor Ward provided us with an altogether sterner test of our accumulated knowledge & abilities. Being an intensive care unit, continuity of services in the event of a power failure is imperative. We had been tasked with the installation of 2 separate UPS (uninterruptible power supply) units and 6 IPS (isolated power system) units were required. Along with the installation of medical gas systems, DALI lighting, nurse call system and medical pendants this project required a high level of co-ordination to meet the especially tight schedule.
